Key Responsibilities Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products. Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM to verify product specifications. Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports. Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials, initiating corrective action requests as necessary. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures. Perform first-article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and control plans. Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment and ensure all tools are within their calibration cycles. Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or GED 2+ years experience in quality control or manufacturing Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation Bonus Qualifications ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification Experience with a variety of measurement tools beyond basic calipers/micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers) Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software Job Titles That Should Apply Quality Inspector, QA Inspector, Quality Control Inspector, QC Inspector, Manufacturing Quality Inspector, Product Quality Inspector, Supplier Quality Inspector, Senior Quality Inspector, Junior Quality Inspector, Quality Assurance Inspector Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
