About Lakeside 55 (Digestive & Pulmonary Health Acute Care Unit) Lakeside 55 is a 20 bed non-telemetry floor that has a primary focus of gastrointestinal and pulmonary health. The levels of experience on the division vary which make for a great learning environment as there are nurses and nursing assistants with twenty plus years of experience down to new graduates. Because of the small size of the unit and years of experience our staff have, Lakeside 55 has developed a reputation as being a supportive, fun, and family-like unit. Digestive & Pulmonary Health (Lakeside 55) The ANM position provides comprehensive care to patients, while being a leader on the unit. They build a strong foundation of leadership skills and promote the values of University Hospitals. Our ANMs work 50% in staffing and 50% in leadership. Essential duties include:

1. Routinely provide patient care.
2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
3. Maintains employee records.
4. Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development.
5. Participates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals and education.
6. Committee involvement, participate with quality improvement initiatives.
7. Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost effective manner.
8. Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers.
9. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
10. Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization
