Job Summary As a BIM Coordinator I at IEF, you will be accountable for creating, coordinating and maintaining digital design models to support curtain wall and architectural fabrication workflows. The BIM Coordinator bridges the gap between shop drawings and 3D modeling, facilitating integrated project delivery through collaboration with design, engineering, and production teams. Accountabilities Interpret architectural and shop drawings and determine modeling requirements without supervision. Propose modeling workflow enhancements and recommend tools to improve coordination and data integration. Interface with internal departments (Engineering, Production, Procurement) to validate model-driven outputs such as MTOs and WBS deliverables. Flag discrepancies in design or scope and elevate for resolution through coordination sessions. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field with relevant experience; bachelor’s degree preferred. 3-6 years of building production software. Entry level experience OK, new grads accepted. Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Inventor and general manufacturing concepts. Preferred Qualifications Ability to interpret and apply architectural and fabrication-level shop drawings. Strong collaboration and problem‑solving skills; adaptable across multidisciplinary teams. Proactive communicator and detail‑oriented with a focus on digital design workflows. Candidates must possess the ability to concentrate, troubleshoot, and solve problems in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills. The role also demands effective task prioritization, management of multiple simultaneous support requests, and a capacity to quickly learn and adapt to evolving technologies and tools.
