Additional Job Description West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek an Infectious Diseases physician (rank available: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Duties The successful candidate will practice in the area of adult Infectious Diseases (ID). Clinical responsibilities will include a mix of ID inpatient, outpatient and telehealth service. An important component of this position is helping to support and expand our Musculoskeletal ID consult service and also follow up in outpatient combined ID/Orthopedic clinic. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Candidate will also be expected to participate in scholarly activities. Qualifications Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program as well as an infectious diseases fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in infectious diseases. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
