Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments
• Provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to mothers and babies during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periodsAssist physicians and midwives during examinations and procedures
• Support individuals of all ages and their families in accordance with physician orders, standards of care, and nursing policies and procedures
• Work independently in completing nursing assignments while adhering to hospital policies and guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice in any U.S. state, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory
• Minimum of 2 years of OB nursing experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and Labor and Delivery
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Heart Association
• Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced EFM Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• STABLE Certification and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) (required within 1 year of hire)
