Senior Defense Litigation Attorney - Dallas, TXOur firm is a full-service national law firm with 250+ attorneys across 16 offices and 25+ practice areas, known for a collaborative, entrepreneurially minded culture with strong mentorship at every level.Our Dallas office is expanding its litigation practice and looking for a seasoned defense attorney who wants genuine trial responsibility, direct client relationships, and a clear path to leadership - not just a seat at the table. What you'll do - Lead and manage defense litigation matters from intake through trial or arbitration across hospitality, premises liability, general liability, and commercial lines Serve as first chair in Texas state and federal court trials and arbitrations Supervise and mentor a team of junior and mid-level attorneys on active case inventories Develop and maintain direct client relationships with insurers, hotel brands, managed-property operators, and commercial clients Drive case strategy, manage budgets, and produce work product that meets fast-paced carrier and client timelines Identify and pursue business development opportunities; portable book welcomed but not required What you need - 8+ years of defense litigation experience in hospitality, premises/general liability, business/commercial litigation, or related insurance defense practice Active Texas bar license and eligibility to appear in Texas state and federal courts First-chair trial and/or arbitration experience Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring other attorneys Nice to have - Experience in hospitality defense specifically (hotels or managed properties) Existing client relationships or portable business Multi-jurisdiction bar admissionsBenefitsPay & benefits -Base Pay - $275K - $300K Unlimited PTO for attorneys Robust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401k plus match Meaningful client contact and hands-on trial experience from day one Location & schedule -Dallas, Texas (office-based); Hybrid Schedule however must be available for in-person court appearances and client meetings throughout Texas.
