Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Yard and Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in managing the efficient flow of parts and supplies within the warehouse and yard. This position involves receiving materials, conducting shipping and receiving tasks, and ensuring the overall organization of the yard. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are crucial for this role, as responsibilities extend to paperwork completion and related computer work, inventory management, and equipment operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a clean yard environment including warehouses, fences and open areas which are free of weeds, trash, and other obstacles
• Manage accurate inventory of parts and supplies
• Adhere to all Flogistix safety procedures and guidelines and maintain safety training
• Safely load and unload materials, operate equipment and perform daily inspections
• Provide support for yard operations
• Perform general housekeeping in order to maintain an organized warehouse
• Utilize technology to perform data entry into respective systems timely and accurately
• Receive, classify, stock incoming goods, and pull merchandise
• Perform cycle counts of stock to ensure accurate cleanup of maintained inventory
• Create deliveries and shipments for all parts shipping out
• Pick materials, components and end products and deliver them to production or shipping
• Use a forklift to assist with various warehouse and yard tasks
• Provide professional customer service at all times
• Unload incoming merchandise, check receiving paperwork and store in proper bin location
• Pull merchandise per loading ticket and prepare package in staging area for delivery or pickup
• Ensure proper merchandise pulled according to loading ticket
• Participate in the execution of scheduled cycle counts
• Pressure wash equipment in yard, if needed
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and other basic mathematical concepts
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
• Must have organizational skills in order to keep track of inventory and keep clean work area
• Must be reliable and dependable, work all shifts and arrive on time
• Satisfactory customer service skills
• Must be able to follow all basic skills, responsibilities and accountabilities
• Must adhere to all Flogistix safety procedures
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to work both in warehouse and outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and flexible to learning new technology
• Have effective communication, including written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Have the ability to work in a team to deliver results in dynamic and fast paced environments
• This is a safety sensitive position

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school Diploma or GED
