We are currently in need of a Full Time Executive Chef for our Food Services Department!

This position is responsible for all aspects of managing the kitchen’s production and culinary staff of the dining service department. This role is directly responsible for ensuring the quality and preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of food items according to the Department of Health and facility regulations.

1. Coordinates the purchasing of all food items.
2. Develop menus, while maintaining approved food costs.
3. Maintain complete knowledge of and ensure associate compliance with Department of Health and St. Camillus regulations, policies and procedures.
4. Establish daily priorities, and assign production and preparation tasks for the culinary team.
5. Review daily menus with management, and accept feedback.
6. Review and execute all event orders.
7. Take physical inventory of food items daily and weekly.
8. Ensure the kitchen area is stocked with required tools, and working equipment for daily demands.
9. Ensure that recipe cards, production scheduled, plating guides, textures, and photographs are current and posted.
10. Ensure that staff prepare menu items following recipes and guidelines according to department and restriction standards.
11. Conduct frequent walk throughs of the kitchen area and direct staff to correct any deficiencies. Ensure that quality and details are being maintained.
12. Ensure that excess items are used effectively.
13. Oversee and direct training of new hires, and maintain on-going training for existing staff.
14. Perform any other job related duties or responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Proven experience in restaurant management, food handling, and/or catering
2. Strong culinary skills with expertise in food production and menu planning
3. Excellent communication skills and can effectively lead a tea
4. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
