Assistant Manager - NEW STORE - J.Crew Factory

Job Summary As an Assistant Manager, you are part of the leadership team. You help drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and strong community engagement. You provide immediate feedback and coaching to the sales team to maximize performance. You collaborate with the leadership team to adapt strategies for business success and ensure smooth operational support as needed. Responsibilities Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to directly impact business results with a meaningful connection to every aspect of the brand while maximizing profitability. Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling, etc.) and manage store operations, systems, and technology while ensuring accountability. Assist the Store Director & Associate Store Manager with recruiting, training and development efforts if needed. Partner with the Store Director and Associate Store Manager to curate a collaborative working environment for all associates. Ensure the team is always on track to exceed goals and provide best‑in‑class customer service. Lead fit sessions that boost product knowledge for associates to elevate authentic customer connection. Come up with innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events. Be able to step into a variety of roles on the sales floor if needed. Qualifications 1–2 years of retail management experience with a similar scope. Passionate support of our brand, customers, and teams. Up‑to‑date knowledge of current fashion trends and industry developments. Embraces teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks. Innovates and champions new ideas while navigating uncertainty and demonstrates strong problem‑solving skills. Has scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry and move at least 40 pounds (18 kilos). Benefits Competitive base pay and bonus programs.
