Location: Greensboro, North Carolina (Onsite)

Role Overview

This organization is seeking a Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Technician for a critical role supporting custom manufacturing test and validation equipment. The position will focus on both legacy and custom-built systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive, creative, and confident individual with strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on repair experience, who is comfortable suggesting and implementing new ideas.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and resolve issues with manufacturing, validation, and testing equipment.
• Provide electronic technical support in manufacturing assembly processes to maintain production, product enhancements, and product development support.
• Engage in routine preventative maintenance and upkeep of production equipment and workstations.
• Assist with the development and sustainment of new workstations and production areas.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept models.
• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of new manufacturing equipment, tooling, and cables/harnesses.
• Initiate improvements within current processes to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
• Identify gaps in process documentation and generate proper documentation, such as Work Instructions and Job Safety Analyses.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A preferred experience level of 3+ years. Strong candidates with less years of relevant experience will also be considered.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in component-level troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
• Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Hands-on experience with tools such as DMM, oscilloscope, soldering iron, and multi-meter.
• Experience with equipment repair, reverse engineering, wiring, and general manufacturing support.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D printing, electrical design, harnessing, validation equipment, or other electromechanical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical hazards, codes, and safety compliance (e.g., NEC, UL, CSA, NFPA).
• CAD experience (mechanical or electrical).
• Experience working with a Quality Department to perform test equipment calibration or verification
