This role plays a key part in maintaining models and projections, enhancing data and analytics infrastructure, and partnering across teams to deliver clear insights to internal stakeholders and investors. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesConduct financial and performance analysisReview annual asset plans and assess strategy; provide strategic input into major decisionsSupport transaction analysis and execution, including detailed hold/sell analyses, buyouts, financings, and re-financingsDevelop and maintain fund-level analysis, such as projected fund and asset-level returns, forecasting liquidity / equity deployment, debt analyticsAssist in quarterly processes, including valuations utilizing Argus / Excel and investor reportingHelp to build and maintain data systems and dashboardsCollaborate with external and internal parties, including JV partners, Acquisitions / Development teams, Finance, and Investor RelationsWork with in-house asset management teams to learn certain markets and sectors, including detailed understanding of product type, supply, and demandOther special projects and initiativesRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities1 to 2 years of applicable work experience, preferably in commercial real estate (investment, asset management, portfolio management) or investment bankingBachelor’s degree in finance, economics, data science, or related field or equivalent experienceStrong Excel model building skills, PowerPoint presentation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Experience with Argus preferredAbility to build and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners; strong communication skillsSelf-starter with superior analytical skills; a problem solver with an astute attention to detailPossesses good judgment, honesty, and utmost integrityAres currently follows a hybrid office attendance model. For positions based in an Ares office, the expectation is to work onsite four days per week.Reporting RelationshipsPrincipal, Real EstateCompensationThe anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.$95,000.00 - $110,000.00The firm also offers robust Benefits offerings.
