Delta Group Electronics is seeking a General Manager based at its Headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This position leads a team to manage production, procurement, sales and other supporting operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages production, warehousing, and sales in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures. Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures to achieve facility financial and strategic goals. Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and labor. Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division. Reviews operations of competing organizations and plans and directs sales programs to develop new markets. Manages quote activity and prepares budgets for use by management. Represents Company in relations with local customers, suppliers and government officials as required. Managerial Responsibilities Manages 5-10 subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Production, Test, Purchasing and Maintenance areas. Directly supervises 1-5 non-supervisory employees. Carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws: interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, resolving problems, developing staff. Business Acumen – Understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; aligns work with strategic goals. Strategic – Makes tactical and well‑thought‑out decisions. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the following qualifications are required. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7‑10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the EMS industry. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions; apply concepts of basic algebra. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills High level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Working knowledge of Access and PowerPoint. Strong knowledge of ERP systems. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, walk, use hands to reach or handle objects, talk, hear. Occasional lifting/moving of up to 10 pounds and up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
