Phlebotomist III Float – Buffalo, NY (Monday to Friday, 4:45 AM–6:30 PM, with rotational weekends) is a phlebotomy float position providing diverse, dynamic work across multiple patient centers. The role offers a robust total rewards package and opportunities for growth. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $22.25 – $24.49 per hour. Responsibilities Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomy duties within patient service centers or doctor’s offices, as needed. Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing. Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams). Enter billing information and collect payment when required. Coach, mentor, instruct, and advise new employees; serve as point of contact on site; provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor. Travel to additional doctor’s office or patient service center sites when needed. Qualifications Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington). Work Experience Five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum 3 years in a patient service center environment preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. The position requires effective communication in English.
