24 The Unit Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the department's administrative operations. This role provides support to patients, visitors, providers, and staff; coordinates communication; maintains records and data; and assists with reports, registration, supplies, and other administrative functions to support efficient department operations. Key Responsibilities Serve as the central point of contact for patients, visitors, staff, and providers Coordinate department communications and respond to requests in a timely, professional manner Create, organize, and maintain confidential reports, correspondence, and other documentation Collect and enter data and assist with developing reports and spreadsheets Provide inpatient bedside registration and maintain patient information Maintain administrative supplies and inventory Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist with customer service needs Support department meetings, filing, and other administrative activities Maintain an organized and efficient workstation Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations Promote quality improvement, patient and staff safety, cultural diversity, and excellent customer service Maintain compliance with applicable policies, regulations, HIPAA, and organizational standards Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent GED Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to speak and read the English language fluently Proficient in use of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a unit clerk or in a medical support role Knowledge of medical terminology or coursework in medical terminology This role is at the new North Kansas City Location #J-18808-Ljbffr University Health
