Employment Counsel

This public transportation and mobility company is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Counsel to support a nationwide workforce of over 30,000 employees across 400 locations. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, this role will serve as a key legal advisor to HR and business leadership on a broad range of employment law, litigation, compliance, and employee relations matters. Key Responsibilities: Advise HR and business leaders on employment law issues including employee relations, accommodations, leave management, wage and hour compliance, investigations, discipline, and terminations. Manage a nationwide employment litigation portfolio, including single-plaintiff cases, class and collective actions, arbitrations, and agency matters. Lead responses to EEOC, DOL, OSHA, and other government agency investigations and enforcement actions. Support workplace investigations, risk management initiatives, policy development, and employment law training. Partner with stakeholders across a large, multi-state organization to deliver practical, business-focused legal guidance. Qualifications: J.D. and active bar license. 5+ years of employment law experience. Must have strong background advising multi-state employers and managing employment litigation. Experience with wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodation, leave, and wrongful termination matters.
