Benefits Medical Dental Sick pay Vacation (9) paid holidays Simple IRA (company match up to 3%) Job Details We are looking for a dynamic, detail‑oriented Consulting Bookkeeper to join our team in the Engineering industry. This role will be critical in maintaining financial records, including purchases, receipts and payments for our clients. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of financial reporting and a proven track record of precision in their work. This position requires a high level of confidentiality and discretion, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work on various projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of day‑to‑day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries and bank reconciliation in accordance with GAAP. Perform construction accounting tasks, including job costing, progress billing, and contract analysis. Handle the invoicing process, ensuring all invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner. Reconcile all accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Maintain a deep understanding of client business operations and systems. Use Sage Intacct software to manage financial processes and create efficiency. Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial processes. Ensure compliance with all internal processes. Support month‑end and year‑end close process. Assist in the preparation of budgeting and financial forecasting. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A minimum of 5 years of proven bookkeeping experience, preferably within the Engineering or Construction industry. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software, specifically Sage Intacct. Experience with construction accounting and job costing is a must. Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. Hands‑on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Sage Intacct). High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
