Job Description
DESCRIPTION
\n- Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, no weekends
\n- 500-bed medical center

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
\n- Ensures adequate and qualified staffing for the department (staff hiring, orientation, competency, training, performance feedback and performance management)
\n- Sets and executes department strategies to meet goals
\n- Oversees the financial operation for the laboratory by monitoring resource utilization, identifying variances and opportunities
\n- Assures compliance with standards set forth by CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA and CMS
\n- Manages key vendor relationships and supply contracts
\n- Monitors and evaluates staff and provides management, coaching, and guidance
