Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience; EVD experience; strong neuro assessment skills; ICP monitoring experience

Description: AUTO OFFER with 7 days of PTO or less. Holiday PTO must be approved by the unit manager. Candidates must pass the required exam prior to accepting the role. Candidates have 2 attempts to pass; if failed, they will be unable to apply for 6 months. Candidates must have their own vehicles. Natural hair color is required, and no facial piercings are allowed. Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing. A pass/fail exam will be conducted on day 1 of orientation. Float between all ICU floors and Tele Units is required. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. Common diagnoses include patients qualifying for critical care with neuro diagnoses. The facility performs craniotomies, brain tumor removals and ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries, and scoliosis repairs. Strong neuro assessment skills and experience with ICP monitoring are critical for success in this role. Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments. All RNs will be expected to complete required skills labs. The facility expects competency in maintaining sterile fields during procedures.
