Job Summary Plans, schedules and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers | Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering | Develops specifications for new contract orders Impact of the Role General ProfileRequires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines Solves complex problems Works independently, receives minimal guidanceMay lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experienceConsistent exercise of discretion & judgment Essential Functions Provides support by planning and tracking material needed for production schedules. Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture products. Works to resolve and takes corrective action for materials issues impacting production schedules while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics. Analyze, plan, schedule, and initiate procurement actions. Ensures materials are cost effective. Assists in determining and ensuring the quality of materials. Execute material that required outside processing. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperienceCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Business Administration/Supply Chain ManagementKnowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Problem-solving skills. Computer skills. Planning skills. Leadership skills. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
