Executive Director

the client seeks a values-driven, strategic, and compassionate Executive Director to lead a survivor-centered organization serving Linn and Benton counties from its base in Corvallis. The organization provides a continuum of services that may include a 24-hour crisis and support line, confidential shelter, crisis response, legal advocacy, support groups, live chat, and community education programming. Its mission focuses on both delivering direct support to individuals affected by sexual and domestic violence and leading education and advocacy that addresses the societal conditions that allow these forms of violence to persist. the Executive Director will help build organizational stability, deepen staff support and retention, strengthen internal systems and external partnerships, and guide a mission-aligned path forward. The role requires leading through both direct service impact and community-wide prevention efforts, balancing warmth and directness while holding complexity with clarity and focus. The successful leader is expected to serve as a trusted internal presence, an effective public representative, and a thoughtful, collaborative partner to the Board of Directors. the client is looking for a leader who can: lead with integrity, steadiness, values alignment, and strong judgment; center survivors while supporting staff wellbeing and retention; partner effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors; oversee fiscal health, compliance, and operational excellence; cultivate donors, grants, and community support; represent the client with credibility in public and partner settings; and advance strategic priorities through collaboration, accountability, and care.
