Sr Production Manager

Position Sr. Production Manager – Women’s Health and Liquid Media businesses at the Mebane, NC plant. Primary Responsibilities Lead and drive all production activities, establishing manufacturing priorities to achieve quality, cost, and customer service results and a safe working environment. Develop and manage budgets and financial performance for areas of responsibility. Drive efficient use of capital and labor, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of quality. Coach and develop direct reports, facilitate cross‑functional collaboration with Safety, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Product Support, CI, HR, and Finance. Communicate plant goals and business strategies to manufacturing and warehouse teams and implement recognition, performance appraisal, and accountability systems. Actively participate on the plant leadership team, driving behaviors aligned with the BD Way. Job Dimensions Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, ability to seek input, relinquish control, and knowledge of current and anticipated customer needs. Works closely with all department leaders that support manufacturing and executes independently with little supervision. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a technical field. 8+ years progressive experience in technical and management roles. Previous experience in an FDA-regulated (cGMP) industry. Proven experience in people development and leading cross‑functional teams. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English. Experience with TPM, Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in business or management. Experience with SAP (eCOMMS, MRP, Manufacturing and Maintenance modules). Knowledge of Quality Management System or equivalent, technical writing, and experience with quality systems. Supervisory Responsibility Supervises a group of individual contributors, leads, supervisors, or managers across multiple shifts. Must be available to come in during night shift periodically. Workplace Information The role requires at least 4 days of in‑office presence per week. Remote or field‑based arrangements may apply as indicated.
