Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at an acute care hospital in Santa Rosa, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience including trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho.

Details

• Work setting is an acute care hospital OR unit with 277 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule working 4x12-hour shifts with variable start times of 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM
• On-call is required and distributed equally among all nursing staff approximately every 6 weeks, with up to 6–8 call shifts per 6-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends
• Occasional night shift coverage may be required within the contract period
• Weekend work is required
• Floating between facilities within the state is expected; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
• Scrubs are provided for OR staff
• Free parking is available on-site

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical cases required due to the facility's trauma status
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting are required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at the manager's discretion
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration; minimal RTO is preferred
