Operations Reporting Analyst- Water Utility Exp. REQUIRED- OnSite in Plainfield

Job Description This is an immediate, 12‑month contract opportunity as an Operations Reporting Analyst within the utilities industry. The role is onsite in Plainfield, NJ, reporting to the client office. Pay: $30‑35 per hour. 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM. Water utility experience is required, as is advanced Microsoft Excel skills including the ability to analyze, manipulate, and reconcile large datasets using formulas and lookup functions (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), create pivot tables, and maintain accurate operational reports. What You Will Be Doing Research, verify, and update service records to support client project requirements. Create and manage map call work orders and coordinate investigative activities. Maintain and update project tracking tools, including Excel spreadsheets. Communicate with customers by phone, email, and in person regarding service line investigations. Support cross‑functional teams with documentation and project tracking. Who You Are HS diploma or GED required. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence, scheduling, and follow‑ups. Water utility experience required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills as described above. Ability to manage inbox communications and respond to customer and internal inquiries in a timely manner. Demonstrated ability to interact with customers in a courteous, patient, and professional manner. Experience handling questions, concerns, or requests while maintaining a positive customer experience. Strong attention to detail when researching, updating, and validating service records.
