Physician - Rheumatologist Kalamazoo, Michigan

Physician – Rheumatologist Location: BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan Summary: Immediate need for a board‑certified rheumatologist to join a full‑time practice with flexible scheduling, supported by a team of four physicians and one APP. Hospital‑employed physician will see patients Monday to Friday, participate in an equitable call rotation and provide minimal inpatient consults. Responsibilities See patients in the outpatient clinic (Monday‑Friday) Participate in a hospital‑wide equitable practice call rotation Provide inpatient consults as requested (minimal) Collaborate with physicians and APP on patient management Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and document all services in the patient record Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection Determine appropriate referrals and level of urgency for follow‑up Exercise final medical judgment in all health‑care issues Collaborate with Medical Director and other staff for patient care and education Participate in process improvement, continuing education, and other hospital programs Oversee mid‑level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned Assist in resolving patient complaints and inquiries Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with federal regulations Qualifications BC/BE Fellowship training in Rheumatology Current unrestricted or pending medical license in Michigan Eligibility for a DEA and DPS certificate of registration Minimum medical degree and 2 years of direct or internship experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care Proficiency with pharmacologic principles and therapeutic agents Benefits Supportive and collaborative work environment Competitive compensation with annual quality incentives Comprehensive benefits package CME stipend and sign‑on bonus Equal Opportunity Employer Bronson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
