Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing architecture, engineering, and consulting organization in Coral Gables, FL. The position involves supporting day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Primary Job Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Support preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable activity Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures Support external auditors, tax preparers, and financial reporting requirements Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Assist with process improvements and accounting workflow enhancements Collaborate with operational and project teams regarding financial information and reporting needs Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations Experience supporting month-end close activities Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis functions Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional services, architecture, engineering, construction, consulting, or project-based accounting experience preferred Experience with ERP or accounting software systems preferred Experience preparing financial reports and supporting audits preferred Knowledge of project accounting or job costing principles preferred Competitive compensation package Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and company holidays Career advancement potential within a growing organization Collaborative and team-oriented work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Andvaris Inc
