The ideal candidate is technically and administratively advanced with potential aligned owner's rep experience with high tech and commercial projects/programs. As Project Manager, you will serve as an onsite point person/customer liaison and responsible person for every project you are assigned to. Our people centered ethos is evidenced through our strong Safety culture recognized for 2 consecutive years with the Highwire Platinum designation, as well as our employee recognition program, GCON's Greatest, which promotes daily teamwork and camaraderie that are central to a meaningful career.GCON Culture of Caring Benefits:Competitive compensation100% employee medical/dental premium coverage (generous family coverage with 3 plans to tailor to needs)Immediate employer 401(k) contribution regardless of employee participationPotential annual profit sharing bonusEmployee rewards program to redeem for gift cards or contribute to cause of your choosingTuition reimbursement program for pursuits outside positionSponsorship for continuing education for career pursuits40 hours of volunteer time off (VTO) for causes you support in addition to PTOEmployee boot voucher programAccess to StrongerWork optimal mental health servicesResponsibilities:Oversee program build -out for high tech client office and datacenter fit outs.Engage in preconstruction of project (e.g, estimating, buy out, logistics, scheduling, and pursuits).Support the operational plan and assist the Project Manager and Business Unit Lead (BUL) on new revenue pursuits and presentations.Support client relationships to help the Project Manager and Business Unit Lead (BUL) grow business portfolio and profitability.Support oversight and coordination of contract staff (1099's & consultants).Review and understand conceptual / schematic scope narratives, specifications, and drawings to provide appropriate and effective constructability input to influence the design.Support timely and effective project closeout, adhering to GCON's standards for closeout processes.Maintain engagement with trade partners, Architect/Engineer (A/E) team and client through actions of accountability and collaboration, helping to support project vision and sharing lessons learned.Develop financial capabilities; assist with budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, course correcting, and support the Project Manager in advising on financial performance.Support the cadence of Last Planner System (LPS) and continuous improvement activities between staff and trade partner workforce.Assist in coaching and mentoring project team(s) on implementing a comprehensive Quality Control (QC) Plan.Support completion of Project Execution Plan and Risk Matrix.Help identify exposures and support negotiation of cost overruns with client to mitigate margin fade and maximize company profitability. Assist in developing action plans to identify and mitigate risks, while supporting implementation of earning enhancement opportunities.Evaluate leading and lagging safety indicators and support implementation of corrective actions.Institute safety in all aspects of construction processes.Share safety lessons learned throughout business unit.Support others on EH&S programs to improve culture and daily business practices.Assist in facilitating and documenting GSTEPS with owner and key project stakeholders.Exemplify GCON values of stewardship in the community by engaging in industry and community organizations that foster collaboration and community support.Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.10+ years of experience in commercial building- general contractor preferred construction project management.5+ years' experience supporting the build process for high tech client programs preferred.Experience with the design process of building systems for high tech projects.Working knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principals and techniques.Proficient with MS Project and Primavera P6.Highly Proficient with Procore and/or CMIC.Physical Requirements:Standing/Walking/SittingLegs: Must be able to climb stairsHands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer useVision: Visual acuity in near, mid, and far range.
