Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and services, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining communication with drivers and customers. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities to ensure timely delivery and retrieval of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and retrievals
• Utilize mapping and transportation management software to optimize routes and improve efficiency.
• Communicate with drivers regarding their schedules, routes, and any changes that may arise.
• Communicate with customers regarding their delivery or retrieval in conjunction with driver and sales location input.
• Assist in data entry tasks related to dispatching and fleet management.
• Troubleshoot issues that may arise during transportation processes.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and retrieval of inventory.
• Additional responsibilities on an as needed basis.

Skills

• Proficiency in mapping platforms for route planning and optimization.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with transportation planning processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
• Previous dispatching experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous experience as a Dispatcher or in a similar position
• Excellent typing and data entry skills 
• Understanding of best practices and procedures for emergency response situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects
• Ability to work well under pressure
