Senior Product Manager - Financial Institutions Group

The Specialty Products team within Wells Fargo’s Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL) organization defines and delivers differentiated payment and liquidity solutions across key verticals. Within this portfolio, the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) segment focuses on developing tailored capabilities for banks, credit unions, asset managers, fintechs, and other financial entities.This team leads end-to-end product strategy, development, and lifecycle management—translating complex financial institution needs into scalable, secure, and market-leading solutions that drive client value and business growth.This role requires a product leader who can navigate the complexity of the financial ecosystem, while maintaining the agility to adapt across evolving client needs, regulatory expectations, and emerging industry trends.In This RoleLead and contribute to product strategy, development, and execution for FIG-focused payment and liquidity solutionsDevelop a deep understanding of financial institution client needs, market structure, and competitive landscapeTranslate complex industry requirements—including regulatory, operational, and technology considerations—into scalable product capabilitiesConduct market research, client analysis, and performance evaluation to inform roadmap priorities and innovation opportunitiesPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Technology, Operations, Implementations, Service, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and external partners to deliver integrated solutionsDrive product lifecycle management, including ideation, prioritization, delivery, and ongoing optimizationSupport go-to-market strategies, including positioning, segmentation, and pricing considerations for FIG clientsNavigate ambiguity and shifting priorities while maintaining strong execution disciplineEnsure all product initiatives meet regulatory, risk, and compliance standards specific to financial institutionsLead initiatives and mentor team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing product organizationRequired Qualifications4+ years of product management, product development, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military, or educationDesired QualificationsExperience supporting Financial Institutions (e.g., banks, credit unions, fintechs, broker-dealers, asset managers)Treasury Management experience, including payments, liquidity, or digital product deliveryFamiliarity with financial ecosystem infrastructure (e.g., clearing, settlement, correspondent banking, embedded finance)Experience working in Agile, platform-based, or product operating modelsStrong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data, client feedback, and market insightsStrategic thinker with the ability to balance client needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectivesStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsHighly collaborative, adaptive, and solutions-oriented with the ability to operate effectively in complex environmentsWhy This RoleThis role offers the opportunity to shape innovative solutions for a sophisticated and evolving client segment within the financial ecosystem. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
