Product Manager - Transformation and Strategy

As a member of the Product Transformation and Strategy team, this role is responsible for supporting the development and continuous improvement of the services and features offered by Manulife John Hancock Retirement, with a particular focus on research, ideation, communication and launches.Position Responsibilities: Strategy, ideation and researchUnderstand and support the vision for the project portfolio across all client segments Act in a thought leadership capacity to stay ahead of trends, regulatory guidelines and forces shaping the industry, and corresponding technologyManage the new idea intake process for internal stakeholders, acting as one of the primary points of contact Support the exploration of ideas by applying relevant market research and customer feedbackContribute to the creation of north star experiences and identification of key differentiators that align with product strategyBusiness case creation, commercials and other artifactsSupport the development of business cases and other product artifacts for approval, including the drafting of epic hypothesis statements to support analysis and explorationWork closely with the Product Analysis team and SMEs, as needed, to understand impacts to systems, high-level requirements and development costsPortfolio roadmap managementSupport the ongoing management of the portfolio roadmap and annual planning activitiesPrepare reporting and regular updates for leadershipProduct Communications and activationSupport, as needed, the internal and external rollout of features/capabilities and execution of communication strategy and messaging that aligns with market messaging, product strategy, and differentiationSupport, as needed, the creation / ongoing maintenance of Product definition documents (including new and existing product catalog, definition documents, etc.), ensuring updates are made in alignment with product deploymentsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years of experience in the retirement industryCreative and innovative thinker with a results-oriented approachKnowledge of the retirement industry, competitive dynamics and trendsKnowledge of channel-specific dynamics (broker/dealer, TPA, plan sponsor, participant)Knowledge of the ERISA and FINRA regulatory environment and DOL guidelinesExcellent communication, organizational When you join our team: We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
