Terros Health is hiring an Engagement Specialist at our McDowell Road location in Phoenix, AZ. The position is full‑time and requires a flexible daytime schedule with no weekends. Clients receive comprehensive behavioral health services, including primary care, nutrition counseling, addiction treatment, children’s services, housing, and pharmacy coordination. Location: 4909 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85008. Position Summary Under Terros Health’s policies and professional requirements, the Engagement Specialist participates as a member of an interdisciplinary clinical team working with individuals diagnosed with general mental health and substance abuse diagnoses. The role includes completing annual assessments, crisis treatment plans, individualized service plans, and outreach assistance. The candidate communicates and documents client progress and outreach efforts in a professional, efficient, and timely manner, using brief clinical interventions, motivational interviewing, and supportive listening skills. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Integrated Care Site Director or Clinical Site Manager. Duties Include Works collaboratively with the clinical team to engage, educate, communicate, and coordinate care with clients receiving behavioral health services. Conducts outreach and follow‑up of services including, but not limited to, crisis interaction, missed appointments, and hospital discharges to ensure adequate resources are available and in place. Ensures ongoing collaboration, including the communication of appropriate clinical information with other involved parties as appropriate. Coordinates care with a client’s family, behavioral and general medical providers and other involved supports including educational, social, judicial, and other State agencies. Participates in clinical staffing’s, case conferences, or other meetings, with or without the client or his/her family or other natural support participation. Provides excellent customer service to clients, internal and external provider agencies, State entities, or other stakeholders (e.g. probation officers, advocates, family members, hospital staff, jail staff, vocational rehabilitation, etc.) as needed. Performs all case management functions associated with caseload including completing the assessment and service planning processes; including identifying the need for further or specialty services. Provides continuous evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment through the ongoing assessment of the client, input from the person and relevant others, and consultation with the clinical team, resulting in modification to the service plan as necessary. Additional language differential pay available. Qualifications Education: High School diploma/GED equivalency and 3 years of behavioral health experience. Associate’s degree in medical or behavioral health field. Bachelor’s degree in the field of behavioral health and any behavioral health experience. Bachelor’s degree (not in behavioral health) and 1 year of behavioral health experience. Basic understanding of the DSM‑V preferred. High level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, electronic medical record, NextGen preferred. Excellent communication skills, evidenced by a non‑judgmental approach and effective listening. Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co‑workers, members, families, and other community members. Valid AZ driver’s license; must be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet Terros Health’s driving policy. Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level1) within 7 working days of assuming role. Must pass a TB test.
