Kitchen Manager Location: Las Vegas, NV 89109 Position: Full Time | On Site Compensation: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour About the Opportunity We are seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead back-of-house operations for a busy, fast-paced restaurant concept in Las Vegas. This role is ideal for a kitchen leader who takes pride in food quality, cleanliness, organization, speed, food safety, and developing a strong team. We are looking for someone who leads from the front and understands how to maintain consistency during both high-volume and slower periods. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with restaurant leadership while taking ownership of daily kitchen execution. Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Leadership • Lead, train, coach, and develop kitchen team members • Assign stations and coordinate daily kitchen deployment • Cross-train team members across multiple positions • Create a culture of teamwork, urgency, and accountability • Maintain an organized and productive back-of-house environment • Help identify and develop future kitchen leaders Food Quality & Execution • Ensure food is prepared according to established recipes and specifications • Maintain consistent standards for taste, quality, portioning, and presentation • Monitor food temperatures and proper product holding procedures • Ensure proper preparation and cooking procedures are followed • Maintain strong execution during high-volume service periods • Drive speed and accuracy without sacrificing food quality Food Safety & Cleanliness • Make food safety a top priority throughout the kitchen • Maintain proper temperature and food safety documentation • Ensure products are properly stored, labeled, rotated, and handled • Maintain high standards for kitchen cleanliness and organization • Ensure cleaning programs and sanitation procedures are consistently completed • Maintain compliance with applicable food safety requirements Inventory & Cost Controls • Assist with inventory management and ordering • Monitor product usage and waste • Maintain proper product rotation and storage • Identify opportunities to improve food cost • Help ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained • Support restaurant leadership with overall back-of-house performance Restaurant Operations • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations • Partner with restaurant leadership to support business needs • Help troubleshoot equipment and operational issues • Maintain strong communication between the kitchen and front-of-house leadership • Hold team members accountable to restaurant standards • Continuously identify opportunities to improve kitchen performance What We're Looking For • Previous kitchen leadership experience preferred • Experience in QSR, fast casual, casual dining, or other high-volume restaurant environments • Strong understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations • Ability to train, coach, and motivate a diverse team • Strong food safety and sanitation knowledge • ServSafe certification preferred • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills • Ability to remain organized and effective in a fast-paced environment • Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and varying shifts • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds • Culinary education is a plus but not required Schedule This is a full-time restaurant leadership position averaging approximately 40 hours per week. Schedule flexibility is required based on restaurant needs, including availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak business periods.
