Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience:
2-3 years of experience in specialty required.
Must be able to read and interpret telemetry.

Required Credentials:
Dysrhythmia exam required.

Special Requests:
Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Holiday RTO will be considered; however, it cannot be guaranteed.

Unit Details:
Charge nurse is a clinical supervisor without a patient assignment and provides break relief.
One nurse aide is available for 8 daytime hours.
Portable telemetry box if needed; monitor tech available.
No vents.
No IV team; hospitalist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy available 24/7.
Common diagnoses/types of patients include hips, knees, shoulders, and spine; no drips.

Shift & Scheduling:
4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
Holidays worked into permanent staff rotation.

Floating Requirements:
First to float.
May float to Tele (1:4 ratio) and between Med-Surg floors.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
