Junior Scrum Master

This is a contract role 5X a week onsite in downtown San Diego. Please do not apply if you aren't comfortable with that!
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives
- Support Scrum teams delivering data & analytics initiatives (data pipelines, reporting, AI/ML)
- Remove blockers and manage cross-team dependencies
- Track sprint progress (velocity, burndown, KPIs) and report updates
- Partner with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders on priorities and delivery
- Identify risks/bottlenecks and drive resolution
- Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement
- Ensure clear communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
Top Skills
- 2–5 years as a Scrum Master or Agile PM
- Hands-on experience running Scrum teams and ceremonies
- Exposure to data, analytics, or AI-driven projects
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC
- Experience removing blockers and managing dependencies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Nice to Have
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
- SAFe / Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM)
- Experience supporting multiple teams or programs
