Retail Buyer

MUSE, Relove is a Sydney-based boutique specialising in curated consignment as a unique rent‑a‑rack model. We are seeking an experienced Retail Buyer – Fashion & Merchandise to join our growing business and lead our product curation and inventory strategy.

This is a full-time position focused on merchandise planning, supplier coordination, and commercial decision‑making to support both our in‑store and online operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute buying strategies aligned with seasonal trends and customer demand
• Identify, source and curate high‑quality fashion inventory across apparel, accessories and footwear
• Analyse sales performance and stock turnover to inform buying decisions
• Manage supplier and consignor relationships, including product selection and pricing guidance
• Oversee inventory planning, stock flow and product lifecycle across retail and online channels
• Collaborate with internal teams on merchandising, marketing campaigns and product launches
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive and relevant product mix

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a buying, merchandising or fashion product role
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, or a related field
• Strong understanding of fashion trends, brands, garment quality and pricing strategy
• Demonstrated ability to analyse sales data and make commercially sound decisions
• Experience managing supplier or client relationships within a retail or fashion environment
• High level of organisation, attention to detail and time management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Experience with inventory systems, spreadsheets and/or retail platforms (e.g. Shopify) preferred
• A passion for sustainable and circular fashion is highly regarded
