Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring an active PA or Compact RN license and rotating day/night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Rotating day and night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule (days: 7:00–19:30, nights: 19:00–7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Floating within the hospital required, as well as potential floating to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required
• SSN, DOB, and two supervisor references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Preferred skills include blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral and PICC line care, port access/management, feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), heparin/insulin/PCA administration, wound care/wound vac, telemetry monitoring, colostomy/ileostomy management, surgical drain management, and pre/post neurosurgery care
• Candidate must be available to work every other holiday
• All requested time off must be disclosed upfront at the time of submission
• Former permanent employees of this facility are not eligible to apply as travelers

• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need; same schedule cannot be guaranteed
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24–48 hours of contract signing
• Pre-start online modules (approximately 1 hour) must be completed before the first day on-site
