About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer for Athletics to lead and oversee all revenue-oriented initiatives within the athletic department. This includes but is not limited to, revenue generation, marketing, ticketing, community and alumni engagement, and special events. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and growth of multimedia right agreements and corporate partnerships, as well as the creation and execution of marketing and promotional initiatives to enhance brand positioning and increase ticket sales. The role also involves supervising staff associated with revenue generation, developing and managing the annual marketing calendar, and ensuring that the department meets or exceeds its revenue goals. Applicants for the Chief Revenue Officer for Athletics position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least 8 years of experience in revenue generation and marketing within sports organizations. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in financial management in an athletic setting, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledge of name, image, and likeness best practices. The ideal candidate will be growth-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously to achieve set goals. Responsibilities also include community relations, alumni engagement, and overseeing special events to maximize efficiency, revenue, and exposure for the department. The Chief Revenue Officer will be expected to work closely with the Office of Development and Alumni Relations to establish and maintain relationships with alumni and to create strategic initiatives for community engagement.
