A Brief Overview Responsible for the complete and accurate registration of all patients in an orderly, expeditious and pleasant manner. Employee must have in-depth knowledge of Patient Registration and insurance verification policies and procedures. Has understanding of computer terminals and printers in order to perform daily functions. What you will do Promptly answer, screen, and report Patient Registration authorizations and telephone inquiries with strict adherence to confidentiality agreements, policies and procedures. Provide patients with information on Holy Name Medical Center patient programs, policies and procedures. Collect and enter all patient personal data and insurance information into the appropriate medical service software to complete and prepare patient records. Collection includes validation of active insurance and ensuring all pre‑certification documents are on file prior to patient receiving service. Documentation is to be concise, thorough and accurate. Serve as the Registration Navigator responsible for determining patient benefit coverage and notifying patients of any financial responsibility prior to patient receiving service. Serve as the Registration Navigator responsible for transition of the patient from physician’s office to Holy Name Medical Center. Secure all necessary documents to ensure the patient experiences no delays in seeking services. Meet outlined Holy Name Medical Center benchmarks and/or quality indicators as monitored through audits or recordings. Support organizational changes. Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility in providing coverage and/or availability for the Call Center via scheduling adjustments for unexpected absences, events or call volume variances. Perform all other duties as assigned. Education Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Experience Qualifications Experience with computerized data entry. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently. Knowledge of medical terminology; requires good communication skills and telephone technique. Ability to work well under pressure. If you are hired at Holy Name, your final base compensation will be determined based on employment status (full/part‑time or per diem), skills, education, and/or experience.
