Role Summary
Prep Cooks support daily operations by preparing ingredients efficiently and maintaining kitchen readiness for service. BOH Team Members are responsible for food preparation, kitchen operations, cleanliness, and supporting service flow. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong team mindset.

Responsibilities

• Wash, cut, portion, and label ingredients
• Prepare sauces and components according to specs
• Maintain prep logs and rotation (FIFO)
• Clean prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces
• Assist with restocking and inventory organization
• Prep ingredients according to recipes and food safety standards
• Cook and portion proteins accurately and consistently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed
• Stock walk-in, prep stations, and dry storage
• Comfortable multitasking
• Follow opening, mid-shift, and closing checklists
• Support FOH and teammates during rush periods
• Communicate clearly with team and management

Requirements

• Knife skills and attention to detail
• Strong cleanliness and time management
• Team-oriented, coachable attitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for 6–8 hours per shift
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment
• Willingness to handle all BOH tasks (prep, cooking, cleaning)
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Food handler certification (or ability to obtain)
• Proven working experience as a cook (seafood/fish prep and grill experience preferred) or the willingness to learn and grow with the company

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour + tips (+$1-$3/hour)
