School Psychologist - Cicero, Illinois

Job Description

Job Description

Step into a pivotal role supporting the academic and developmental success of students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This contract opportunity demands expertise in school psychology, with a focus on conducting evaluations and facilitating essential student support processes.

As the district’s psychologist, you’ll be based at the district office, concentrating exclusively on evaluation caseloads—there were 63 evaluations completed last year, with an emphasis on handling evaluation-only cases. This allows you to specialize in data-driven assessments without the demands of day-to-day student or staff support in individual school buildings.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and Psychologist endorsement; consideration given to candidates with pending credentials, especially those interested in travel assignments
• Background as a school psychologist, preferably with experience spanning Pre-K through middle school populations
• Strong skills in orchestrating and leading domain meetings, as well as navigating MTSS processes
• Confidence and experience with Early Intervention (EI) transition processes, such as overseeing and conducting TPBA (17 transitions managed last year)
• Ability to manage a caseload focused on detailed, compliant evaluations

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Planning and leading domain meetings
• Completing psychoeducational evaluations
• Coordinating the EI transition process and TPBA for students entering the district
• Attending MTSS referral meetings for individual student cases as needed

Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, fostering a sense of stability and work-life balance. CPI training requirements are not applicable for this position, as the role does not involve building-based crisis intervention responsibilities.

If you’re passionate about making an impact through comprehensive evaluations and supporting student growth district-wide, you’re encouraged to apply for this rewarding opportunity starting as soon as possible through June 19, 2027! Shape the future of student services by submitting your application today.

Compensation for this position ranges from $39.92 to $69.92. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
