About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: NY State nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with charting systems preferred - Travel experience required Description: M/S Tele Registered Nurse for Emergency Department overflow. Position involves backfilling for modified time shifts. Candidates will care for observation patients and overflow med/surg/tele patients. The daily census typically ranges from 28 to 42 patients. Patient ratios are approximately 7:1 during nights, weekends, and days. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and others. The role requires knowledge and skills in cardiac telemetry, IV management, and handling dysrhythmias. Candidates must be proficient in patient safety protocols and isolation precautions. This nursing role includes starting and maintaining IVs, administering oxygen, and managing feeding tubes. Candidates must provide two supervisory clinical references upon submission. Applicants should have experience in a community hospital setting, ideally with telemetry. Local candidates are welcome, defined as within 75 miles of the facility.
