Senior Data Scientist

Role Description

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

• Work collaboratively with Human Centered Design lead to analyze data and form insights supporting CMS initiatives for price transparency.
• Support the product design process with data reflecting user behavior.
• Build predictive models, data visualizations, and tools for analysis.
• Develop AI tools to automate processes and recommendation systems.
• Provide insights through qualitative design research and exploratory data analysis.
• Research and analyze data sources for patterns to enhance CMS Procedure Price Lookup tool.
• Create data visualizations that communicate insights effectively.
• Apply critical thinking to conduct objective analyses.
• Utilize programming skills in R, Python, and other data science languages.
• Collaborate closely with business and technical leaders.
• Work with machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow.
• Participate in an agile environment, delivering product functionality in short iterations.
• Enhance data collection procedures for analytic systems.
• Process, cleanse, and verify data integrity.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly.
• Create an automated anomaly detection system and track its performance.
• Engage in product discussions to refine acceptance criteria and estimate user stories.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python, PySpark, R.
• Experience with unsupervised and supervised machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Experience applying statistical methods and concepts.
• Experience with Sparklyr.

Requirements

• US Citizenship or Green Card only - no sponsorship offered.
• US Residency for at least the past 3 years.
• Able to meet requirements for Public Trust, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation.
