Field Technical Support Technician

Geophysical Technology, Inc. designs, engineers, and manufactures geophysical “earth imaging” technology used for oil exploration. GTI is hiring entry level or experienced Field Service Technicians to support customer operations, provide training, execute equipment repair & maintenance, and provide global GTI sales and marketing support. 1. Establish and maintain “Expert User” proficiency operating GTI's NuSeis autonomous nodal seismic recording technology and NuSeis ecosystem, including use and support for all hardware, firmware, software.

2. Support GTI's equipment sales and leases and global marketing.

3. Support GTI's global repair and maintenance of NuSeis equipment

4. Train customer's in optimal NuSeis operation as well as site support and repair of the equipment as needed.

5. Training of customer personnel on the use of the NuSuite Software package and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise with the software and associated computer hardware where the software is installed.

6. Provide ongoing “continuous improvement” input into GTI's engineering department related to NuSeis performance, software, firmware, or hardware.

7. Emulate positive “can do” attitude, always constructive, never cynical, being a positive “brand steward” and co-owner of GTI's transformational NuSeis technology.

8. Maintain exceptional positive customer service attitude at all times. Ensure that all dealings with the customer and their stakeholders are professional and constructive.

9. Carry out hardware and software testing as needed to support engineering efforts. Proficiency to code and troubleshoot NuSeis software would be a plus.

Job Requirements:

1. Able to work independently in remote locations without supervision

2. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Technology or related field is a plus.

3. Strong electronics and software aptitude.

4. Good working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office products, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

5. Valid driver's license

6. Able to obtain a passport

7. Eligible to work in the US

8. Willing to travel; job will include both international and domestic travel

9. Prior seismic experience, mechanical aptitude is a plus

10. Possible truck mechanic repairs, so any automotive background is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
