Title Assistant

Title Assistant Level I

We are seeking a Title Assistant Level I for a national title insurance company based in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will work closely with Title Examiners to prepare high-quality title products, facilitate client communications, and ensure the accurate and timely delivery of title commitments and reports.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with Title Examiners to produce accurate, timely title insurance products and Ownership and Encumbrance (O&E) reports.

Set up new orders, order and issue tax certificates, and distribute revised title packages and supplementary documents.

Field incoming calls from clients and partners, resolving inquiries through research or escalating complex matters to Examiners and Title Officers.

Monitor production deadlines proactively, communicating status updates and schedule adjustments clearly to team members and clients.

Conduct county courthouse searches and record retrievals as required.

Deliver responsive customer service to internal teams and external clients, providing occasional backup front-desk support when needed.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in an office environment, title/escrow setting, or professional customer-facing role.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and Windows-based systems, with the ability to operate standard office equipment.

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high accuracy in document production.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.

Valid driver's license and active auto insurance for local county document retrieval.
