Kidney Territory Account Manager (Greenville/Columbia, SC)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Kidney Territory Account Manager to build relationships with nephrologists and specialty kidney clinics in the Greenville and Columbia, South Carolina region. The role involves developing clinical expertise, executing territory business plans, and serving as an account manager for healthcare professionals in a rare disease setting.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with nephrologists and specialty kidney clinic stakeholders
- Develop territory-level business plans including promotional activities, budgets, and travel management
- Build and communicate expertise on kidney disease, clinical attributes, and unmet patient needs
- Conduct stakeholder mapping, account analysis, and reimbursement landscape assessment
- Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve sales targets and address market challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years pharmaceutical field sales experience
- Experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or specialty biotech markets
- Strong clinical communication and complex disease understanding
- Proficiency with Veeva CRM and multiple IT platforms
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel up to 80% by car or air
- Product launch experience highly desired
Compensation: $133,600–$200,400 base; eligible for annual bonus and equity awards
