About the Role Clinical Nurse provides patient care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes. Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care. Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. The position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her/his direction) and for the delivery of care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing. Responsibilities Apply nursing process and theories, and principles of psycho-social and physical sciences in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care. Ensure care quality consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing. Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes. Account for nursing services delivered by self or under direct supervision. Qualifications Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Experience: Endoscopy – two years of recent experience with moderate sedation, endoscopic procedures or similar experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications Registered Nurse License – California Board of Registered Nursing. Basic Life Support – American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support – American Heart Association. Skills & Abilities Ability to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics. Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately. Patient Population All age groups one year of age or greater. Salary & Hours FTE 0.9, 72 scheduled bi‑weekly hours, day shift of 12 hours. Salary range: $89.40 – $116.78 USD per hour. Physical Requirements Work involves standing the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently.
