Landscape Construction Foreman

We are a growing Landscape Construction & Excavation Company located in Acton, MA seeking a motivated individual with experience as a Landscape Construction Foreman. This is a full‑time position (with paid overtime). Job applicants should meet the following criteria. Experience The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience leading a team in the following areas: Site work: excavation, grading, drainage, and utilities installation Hardscape: walls, walkways, steps, terraces, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, water features, driveways, etc. Landscape: planting, lawn installation, low‑voltage landscape lighting, and some knowledge of irrigation. Proficiency in machine operation, including skid steer and mini‑excavator (larger machinery a plus). Ability to identify plant species and varieties. Duties / Responsibilities Site work preparation: excavation, grading, drainage, and utilities installation. Hardscape construction: walls, walkways, steps, terraces, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, water features, driveways, etc. Landscape installation: planting, lawn installation, low‑voltage landscape lighting, and irrigation systems. Required Skills / Abilities Thorough understanding of plant species identification and plant varieties. Thorough understanding of machine operation (skid steer, mini‑excavator, and larger machinery). Strong leadership skills. Effective communication with subcontractors, clients, architects, and management. Organizational skills: responsible for maintaining daily foreman logs, job sheets, and timecards. Ability to keep crews on task and manage production while maintaining high‑quality work. Education & Experience / Licenses High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience. Valid driver’s license. Hoisting License 2A/1C. DOT Certificate (to be acquired within one month after hire). Physical requirements: Ability to operate landscape machines and equipment. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand.
