Exciting opportunities await for three full-time onsite Behavior Intervention Specialists for the 2025-2026 school year! This contract position is based near Maple Grove, MN, and offers a dynamic environment where you’ll collaborate with another Behavior Intervention Specialist and a Special Education Administrator to make a significant impact across multiple school sites (3-4 assigned, locations based on district needs). Training will begin the week of August 25, 2026, with students returning on September 8, 2026, and the assignment running through June 10, 2027. The daily schedule typically runs from 8:30 AM to 4:10 PM, totaling approximately 37.5 hours weekly.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Behavior Specialist, BCBA, or Special Education Teacher
• A Tier 3 or 4 MN teaching license is required if applying as a Special Education Teacher
• Strong background in positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS)
• Ability to conduct functional behavior assessments and collaborate with diverse school teams
• Expertise in developing and supporting individualized education plans, compliance, and crisis intervention
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills
• RBTs are not eligible for this position

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and consult on PBIS strategies and interventions for students
• Work closely with staff and administrators to ensure effective, individualized programming
• Conduct functional assessments and analyze data to drive decision-making
• Guide and train school staff in behavioral best practices
• Utilize de-escalation and positive reinforcement techniques
• Maintain safety and a positive environment for all students
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Respond flexibly to evolving student needs and crisis situations
