Job Description

The Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in a high-volume emergency department. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide care aligned with best practices and hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and coordinate care based on patient acuity.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation of patient information using Cerner.
• Perform emergency procedures as needed and participate in trauma care.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff and support staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting.
• Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before starting date.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred.
