Position Title Business Services Coordinator Working Title Supplemental Pay Administrator Summary The Supplemental Pay Administrator serves as the functional lead and campus subject matter expert for the Banner Faculty Load and Compensation (FLAC) system within Academic Affairs. This position is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end administration, coordination, compliance, and operational integrity of FLAC processes that support faculty workload assignments and compensation activities. Responsibilities and Duties This role bridges multiple Banner modules to ensure accurate and compliant assignment, approval, tracking, and compensation of faculty and EHRA workload activities. The administrator collaborates extensively with colleges, departments, Payroll, HR, Finance, and the Provost Office to support instructional and non‑instructional assignment processing while ensuring institutional and UNC System policy compliance. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Education, Professional Skills and Experience Experience administering Banner FLAC or similar faculty workload/compensation systems in higher education. Knowledge of UNC System policies, faculty workload administration and supplemental compensation practices. Experience interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage complex workflows and exercise independent judgment in decision‑making. Demonstrated ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical expertise. Proficiency with reporting tools, spreadsheets, and data analysis. Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and organizational levels. Ability to prioritize competing demands and meet strict deadlines in a high‑volume environment.
