Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's team full-time in an office-based environment in Houston, TX (near the Galleria). In this role, you will support financial reporting and analysis, with a focus on inventory accounting and intercompany transactions across multiple entities. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and providing insights that help drive business decisions.

Schedule: Monday Friday, standard business hours (additional hours may be required during month-end close) Full-time, direct hire (not a temporary position)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accounting and analysis related to intercompany transactions across multiple entities
• Support pricing and cost allocation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
• Assist with month-end close, including analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Ensure transactions are properly recorded and aligned with accounting standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather data, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting needs
• Prepare documentation and schedules to support audits and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to financial forecasting by providing insights into intercompany balances and activity
• Identify process improvements and support implementation of more efficient accounting procedures
• Maintain strong documentation and internal controls to support compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
• 6+ years of accounting experience, including work in multi-entity or intercompany environments
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS preferred)
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
